well, ytd was alright. met up with fiza at east coast with her cousin & bf, nice people. well, the bbq was another cousin's company bbq and also advanced birthday celebration. so some of her colleagues were there as well as family. fiz was expecting to see a bunch of young people there, but sadly it was more like a family day outing, yes, they had kids too. the funny part was, in the midst of a malay families and friends, we had a small group of chinese guys, i guess the cousin's colleagues, so we had techno music. even better, the guys at the next pit were dancing to it. its a case of good idea, bad idea. hahahaha... well, the four of us were seated away from the pit but her cousin was a good host ensuring that we had enuff food and drinks. it threatened to rain but didn't, maybe God mistook east coast for orchard road coz the place was really packed.
like all family day, this ended early too before midnight. fiz and i were like puzzled and since her things were at her cousin's place so we couldn't hang out. took a lift from them to aljunied where her cousin stays. then plans changed again, they decided to head to changi but i decided to head home as i was really tired and had to work the next morning. hailed a cab and made a promise to meet up again soon. well, it didn't turn out quite as expected even fiz was disappointed, as she expected a younger crowd. btw mel, fiza is a liverpool fan! hahaha..
okie now for the sad news, i might not be able to make it for 'womad' as i'll be working the afternoon shift. i'll end at 11pm, so its not point for me to pay the full entry as i'll only be able to make it there at 12pm; and i'll be working the morning shift on sat. if i'm not going to womad, fiz won't go but she really like to and meet you guys at the same time. maybe she could hang out with you guys first and i'll meet you guys later??? and if you guys are planning to hang out real late, then i'll change my shift to afternoon on sat. what say you... ????
