well, been listening alot to the radio and i tell ya, the songs on 98.7FM rocks! they are more playing a fair share of hip hop and r&b, local music and a blast from the past! talking about local music, have u guys heard daphne khoo's song on air. well, although she sometimes sounds as if she swallowing her words, i love that song. when i heard it the first time on 987 Home, it blew me away. not sure why it brought tears to me eyes though, maybe i am happy that she is getting some recognition and geting more airplay now. way to go daphne khoo, a platform for other inspiring locals. This morning Marion Raven was on air and this gal can sing, i tell ya! she did an acoustic version of her hit song and she rock! she is having a showcase at Bar None today! Other acts coming our way are Slipknot, The Bravery, The Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi and lots more...btw bon jovi is releasing a new album, "have a nice day" due Sept 2005. Check out this babes, Cori Yarkin / DJ HeavyGrinder / Kaila and Collete Trudeau, tis gal rocks! Cool things u can find on www.myspace.com , you can also find Bon Jovi, Kanya West, The Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, John Legend, U2, Stereophonics and lots more. Oh yes, check out this band, Grieving for Grace, a cross between the goo goo dolls and jars of clay! Cherry Monroe is gonna share the stage with Bowling for Soup. I think Coldplay is gonna be the next big thing eversince U2. so u guys are wondering, hmmmmm, is there any local music on my space? well, there is, watchmen, pug jelly, n sonar among the few.
