Movie Night

From the Director of ONG BAK and TOM YUM GOONG.

Yakuza Masashi and his Thai lover Zin were forced to separate with Masashi being sent back to Japan and Zin to continue staying in Bangkok as a single mother. Brought up single-handedly by Zin, their daughter Zen, is autistic in nature. She is compensated with agility and picks up Muay Thai through watching television programs and from observing the trainings taking place at the Muay Thai academy next door. Zen becomes an obsessive fighter who excels at catching fast-flying objects. When Zin is diagnosed with cancer, Zen has to fight her way through to collect money from her mother's debtors to raise her medical funds..

Watched 'Chocolate' with Rob last night and I though it's going to be another 'Ong Bak' movie. Don't get me wrong but I loved 'Ong Bak' and 'Tom Yum Goong'. Yea, I did catch both movies. However, 'Chocolate' prove to be different and it's really more entertaning than the previous two movies. This kid
'Yanin Vismitananda aka JeeJa Yanin' kicked more ass than Tony Jaa in both movies. From Cinema is Dope :-

The lead female actress forms some kind of hybrid between Tony Jaa and Bruce Lee (in spots). Mostly they play to her own strengths (which you have to see to believe) and really never tries to rival either Tony or Bruce. The story is slight, but the broad spectrum of characters and scenarios more than complete the film into an absolute marvel and one of the absolute treats of 2008 cinema'.

Yes, you really have to sit it believe it.. this girl rocks!! The movie is great and it's worth ya $10. However, I can't say much about the website though. It states,

'This website is required Flash Player 9 of higher, If yours computer deprived this please download here'

The English did make me smile but when I clicked to Enter Site, the page just takes forever to load. I've even downloaded the latest Flash Player just to make sure. Oh well, one can't please everyone. Anyways, do watch it and it makes you wanna take up Muay Thai.
