What happened in 2012 (Part 1)

This was at Mel's Place at 2A Kuo Chuan Avenue. The same night Liverpool beat Norwich 5-2.Unfortunately they didn't show the match.Hahaha. . . However, prior to Mel's birthday, we celebrated Pat's birthday at Outback Singapore. The food was good and the staffs were excellent.

Pat wondering how to cut the cake!!

Nothing much happened in November, except the fact that I was seriously sick. I felt sick on a Wednesday night, temp were 40 degrees. Next day visited my company's doctor, the temp dropped to 36. Doctor couldn't find anything wrong, gave some medications and a days MC. Fever return at night back to 40 again. BUT I still went back to work the next day which was Friday, was feeling a bit better. Survived the whole day at work. Left office at around 6ish, went to interchange and waited for the bus. As I walked to the interchange, I felt really dizzy and I can't tell what's wrong with me. I couldn't walk in a straight line but I managed my way to the interchange @ Bukit Merah. As I waited for the bus, I had the feeling that I needed to throw up. Good thing the interchange had a toilet and I just threw up. The fact is I didn't eat much when I was sick because I just couldn't eat. So I went to the take the shuttle bus to SGH where I walked to A&E and went to the toilet first to throw up again. This time it was quite painful actually it was really painful. Found my strength again and proceeded to the triage section. The doctor then took my blood pressure and temp. It was confirm that my bp was low and fever was high. He told to go to the fever section.

At the fever section, I waited where a male nurse attended to me. He again took my bp n fever again. He gave me two panadols and told to wait for the doctor. So back I went to the waiting area and after a few moments, my number was called. This cute female doctor attended where I repeated my story for the third time. Then the doctor told the male nurse something and he proceeded to take my blood. It was quite painful when he withdrew the needle. The doctor turn around and told that she didn't call for it. She wanted him to do something else. The doctor then told my left hand and poke a needle through my veins. You know at hospitals where patients have this small tube like thing poked through veins. Not sure whats the actual term for it but it's motherfucking painful. BUT I am now glad the male nurse didn't do it. After inserting the tube like thing in, the doctor said needed to inject three things into me as my blood pressure was low and something else but I just couldn't register it after seeing the injections. You should have seen the size of the last injection, it was fucking long. But the doctor was nice.. sensing my fear, she told me that she would do it slowly. Yes it was painful but as painful that I had imagine it to be. After all the injections, another female nurse entered and took over the male nurse. She was also not bad looking, I said to myself thing just got sweeter. hahaha... She brought a wheel chair for me and wheel me to the next room where I took my shirt off for her as she got the erg machine ready. She told me to lay down but as soon I laid down, I couldn't was breathing very heavily. I got up again and I was like wtf was wrong with me. The nurse apologise that she couldn't bring the thing up and assured me that it wld be over soon. So i laid down again and the heavy breathing started. As I laid there, I told myself I should have just gone home and sleep but then again what if I went to bed and I was breathing this heavily, I would be back here again so back to square one. The nurse did a quick job on the erg and then another doctor came to wheel me the x-ray room. He told me that he was a catholic too from Nativity Church and asked me which church I came from so I told him. I stood up from my wheel chair and did the x-ray. He then gave me a brochure and asked me to fill it as to how I find his approached and service. Like a compliment kind thing so I filled it up, not sure what I was writing. Then he asked me to do the x-ray again as it was not right. So I did it again and the second time was good then the doctor wheel me to waiting area and asked me to wait here.

I then realised that I've been there for almost two hours as I sat there waiting. The nurse came and fix me up with glucose thingi and asked to me to wait. After a while, I felt very restless siting on the wheel chair. I told myself , it would more comfortable siting on the the chair but the wheelchair was locked and I didn't know to unlocked it. So I looked behind to the chairs so endearingly. I got up a few times, stretched myself, looked at the chairs and set down again. All these while, my home was calling me and my sis was messaging me to buy dinner for my mum. Yes, nobody knew I was at sgh a&e except a good friend. Slowly I was feeling better and I was back to being my normal self. Now I really wanted to go home. Then all those movies where the action hero escapes from the hospital came to mind. I just wanted to walk out but I didn't have to guts to pull the needle out from my left hand. So I patiently waited for the cute doctor or the nurse. The nurse did pass by eventually, I told that I was feeling better and wanted to go home. She told me to wait for my blood test result. I waited and waited she saw me looking at her and kept saying the doctor will attend to me soon. She was also very busy attending to other patients. Then eventually the cute doctor came and told me that I could go back home.. I was like yay!!! She took off the needle and I went ouch but glad it was out. The doctor told me that they found something wrong with my liver so they would fix me an appointment with sgh to check on my liver. So I got my medications, got my appointment and left sgh a&e. It was like 11ish, called my good friend and told her I was leaving sgh so she didn't have to come down and I took the bus home.

Got two days MC but I still went back to work on Saturday although I was still sick but I survived. I was still sick over the weekend, couldn't quite eat anything. On Monday, I was still sick, fever was still there. Went to the poly clinic, doctor gave me some medications and I got one day MC. I was back to work on Tuesday, still feeling weak but i guess the fever had subsided. However, I was able to finally eat a full meal on Tuesday and I felt much better after that. It was the longest I have been sick and I certainly don't want to go down that road again.
