met up wit some friends ytd and found out some interesting things esp with the seven month hovering over us. so if u are 'pan-tang' over such issues,please leave immediately. =)

anyway, my friend told me that her 3 yr old daughter plays with imaginary friends and it only happens during this period, freaky yah!! her daughter would just be talking to herself and playing with her toys. here's some excerpt of what my friend told me.

• mum : girl, who are you talking to??
• daugh : my friends, small brother and sister.
• mum : i told you not to play with them.
• (daughter turns back to the empty space infront of her)
• daugh : my mummy ask me not to play with you, so you have to leave. she very fierce u know.
• *** her daughter is her only child.

freaky yah and this only happens during the seven month. well so far, nothing bad has happened. another thing that got me curious is that there is certain room in her house that her daugh is afraid off even before she was born. during her pregnancy period, she would view the place but whenever she would enter or pass by that room, her baby would kick furiously.

she bought the place the same time her daughter was born. till then, she is afraid to enter the room. whenever she passes the room, she would cry, even if the room door is left open. her daughter is still tight lipped on what's in that room or what she sees. she would only lower her head and would be really scared to talk about it. my friend has rented out the place and lives with her mom now. occasionally she would return back. she mentioned that so far, the tenant who occupies that room has not complained about anything. however, her cousin who rented the room previously, always felt that there was someone watching over her when she's asleep. so what do u when u had enough??? you......

anyway, her cousin left the place and the new tenants has taken over, so far my friend the landlord has no complains. even my friend, do not feel anything. it would be great to put cameras in the house and maybe do a paranormal activity 3. =p

talking about paranormal activity, was reading the wiki on the movie and i do think that the third ending of the alternate version is far more true. here's the ending in case, you if are to lazy to click on the hyper link. =p

now for something more freaky but true. a friend told me that her sister is raring spirit in her house. not sure of the term for it though. she mentioned that the spirits are mainly children who been aborted or miscarriage. so they would buy small statues and then thru a medium invite the spirits into it. so this spirits would find a new home in the status and in the owners place. of course, you have to treat it with tender loving care and in turn it would look over the family. give it sweets, milk, small change and it would be happy. my friend told me how the medium visited her place a couple of years back and the events that took place was something that is best not to be mentioned here. although i'm a catholic and do not believe in such things, there's is also such thing called stupidity. the thing that she describe is best left unsaid. so yea, realised that even though we are fast moving into the digital world, some old 'friends' still linger.

hands to heaven

sigh . . . another boring weekend. hoping to get through this difficult month but i will do my best to make this month possible so that next month and coming months will be awesome!!!

yes, i may be at the lowest point of my life but i will make it out on my own; and when things do start to turn around for me, i will remember those who were with me during this difficult period.

SATURDAY NIGHT

suppose to catch ong bak 3 with rob & his friend but i was late the tix were sold out. so rob gave me two choices, tekken or the crazies. not knowing much abt the crazies, i opt for tekken as i realised that there hasn't been a good zombie flick for a long time. so we got the tix and has some starbucks first.

sometimes i just don't know what to order at starbucks esp when they tend to ask more questions abt ur order. ok i am not a starbucks person. i rather someone do the ordering for me. =p

anyways, tekken was good!!! it reminded me of mortal kombat, the first one that is. it was only later that rob told me that it was the same guy. the story line was okay, the fight scenes are awesome and so were the girls. ;) will sure be watching the sequels of it. oh yes, don't leave the movie when the credits come up, there is something in store at the end. ;)

after tekken, we went for dinner at the cine food mall. hence rob's friend started the quests for the best drive music to have. didn't know we wld still be cracking our heads 5 hrs later. we headed to harry's @ dempsey after dinner. the place was crowded initially but we still managed to find seats. randolf i believed played more songs than he did the other time. . . basket! LOL. but he did rock the night, playing things his way and his rendition of bohemian rhapsody was fucking awesome. it got the crowd (or those who were still ard) singing along and there was a rousing applause at the end of it. which made me decide, dempsey is going to be my chill out place. hahaha. after dinner we headed to spize!, unfortunately randolf couldn't joined us. and it was there that we finally concluded the drive music playlist. hahaha.....

well, it was an awesome night and will be looking forward to the next chill out session. hopefully my best buds can make this time ard. =)

after all these years, the malaysian clerics just realised that there is a 'devil' emblem on the team's crest!! i would imagine their shock if they find out that they are nicknamed the 'red devils' as well.

i find this whole thing just stupidly ridiculous. dude, there are more important issues in your country to solve than finding fault in some jerseys. on the same headline, there was a more pressing issue : Malaysia mulls pregnant teen school to curb dumping. we are talking of lives here and a whole life of uncertainty ahead of them.so put your time into good use clerics.

Muslims warned against 'devilish' Man Utd jersey

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) - – Muslims must not wear the famous Manchester United red jersey because of the "devil" emblem on its team crest, Malaysian clerics said Wednesday.

anchester United and the rest of the English Premier League are massively popular in Muslim-majority Malaysia and the rest of the Asian region, but conservative religious scholars said the jersey is un-Islamic.

Also off limits are the shirts of teams including Brazil, Portugal, Barcelona, Serbia and Norway, all of which carry images of the cross on their team emblems.

"This is very dangerous. As a Muslim, we should not worship the symbols of other religions or the devils," Nooh Gadot, a top Islamic cleric from the southern Johor state, told AFP.

"It will erode our belief in Islam. There is no reason why we as Muslims should wear such jerseys, either for sports or fashion reasons," said Nooh, an advisor to the Johor religious council.

"Even if it (the jersey) is a gift, we should decline it. It is even more sinful when people realise this is wrong and still buy these jerseys to wear," he added.

Nooh said there was no "fatwa", or religious edict, against the shirts but that one was not needed when it was clearly wrong for Muslims to don such a garment.

"These Muslims should repent, repent immediately," he said.

Another leading cleric, Harussani Zakaria, a cleric from northern Perak state, agreed that devils should be shunned, not celebrated.

"Yes of course in Islam we don't allow people to wear this sort of thing," he told AFP. "Devils are our enemies, why would you put their picture on you and wear it? You are only promoting the devil."

Malaysia is a generally moderate Islamic country, but conservative clerics have issued controversial edicts in the past including a ban on the ancient practice of yoga, which is criticised for including Hindu religious elements.

yes, finally the torn down multiplex is for going a major renovation from Aug 12, 2010 till November 2010. it will be great it they could link Northpoint to GV Yishun too. so even if its pouring outside, we can eat or window shop whilst waiting for the movie. also please bring back burger king and the stone chairs that they used to have outside. it brings back many memories of the times we used to hang out after choir, having our dinner and waiting for the next show.

i remember watching 'my girl' which i believed was the first show i caught at gv yishun. the theatre was packed and of course there was a lot chattering. the whole lot of us occupied the centre row, and to our right , there was a couple quarrelling. it was more like the girl kept scolding her bf, it was chinese so i didn't know what was going on. we thought that it will die down once the movie started. however, the girl kept talking and talking despite the whole theater going 'sheeeesh' but the girl didn't get the hint and still continued. then from the front row, a guy said something in chinese addressed to the couple and the whole theatre was in silenced. then someone from the back clapped for the comment made. the same guy from the front got up turn around and said thank you with a bow to the one that clapped for him. then the whole crowd laugh n applauded and just then the couple got up and left the theatre, the crowd went wild and finally we could enjoy the movie in peace. found out later, that the guy bought the wrong ticket., it was not something that his girl did not want to watch. boy it was fun. =p

yes gv yishun holds many memories for many of us and i hope it will continue to do so.

the aftermath

finally the dust has settled and spain are the world champions 2010. well what do you expect from a team that have the likes of casillas, iniesta, xavi, fabregas, alonso, david silva, david villa and of course torres. just to name a few, and of course my new found admiration for sergio ramos. hope the kop gets to him first. =)

next stop the BPL season again. what makes it more exciting this time around will be the kind of players that the teams would be buying after the world cup season. the amount of talents that money can buy and that of course, will certainly blow england chances of ever wining any cups, not to mention the milo cup!! =p it's no longer for the love of the game but whose got a deeper wallet.

So please for once stop saying that england will win the world cup cause they won't. England are miles apart from germany, spain, holland and even uruguay. heck even south korea and japan are better than england. =p just looking at the england squad shocks me, only 4 players are under 25. this compared to germany with 11 youngsters and spain has 9 youngsters. i never liked the germans but this world cup, they played interesting football. so i will say, germany and spain will the team to beat in euro 2012. i would love to see germany and defending champions spain in the finals. and this time ard, i hope muller gets to play as he can make a difference in the german team and may the best time win!! SPAIN!!! hahaha.

Alley Bar 27 May

i had a beautiful evening at alley bar with some of my beautiful friends. as icb was packed, we settled for alley bar and waited for the rest to come; but as time passed we felt so comfortable at alley bar and spent the next four hours there. the atmosphere and company was good. also there was free entertainment provided. i applaude the service crew there too as they are the best. thanks to everybody who showed up, u guys made the night possible.

the weekend

had work on sat then had to attend a retinal talk after work from 12.30 to 4pm; and since i had nothing better to do on a saturday, i went. my colleague and i rushed to the main ctr of snec to attend as i tot. it was then my colleague told me that we are not there to attend the talk but to book appointments for interested guests - the talk was in mandarin. =p

however i still went and saw my other two colleagues there as there was another english talk in the morning. we were supposed to take over them but one of my kind colleague offered to stay back and help me out. . . sweeet!! as i was about to have my lunch i bumped into celia ong!!! my once upon a time lunch kaki. we were both surprised to see each other. it was good to seeing her though and we chatted for a while.

after the whole talk and everything, i bumped into celia again and we walked to the train stn. whilst she made her was home, i made my way to bedok to meet a fiza. met her for dinner and we chilled near her place for a while. met her little niece and she's so adorable but shy. then made my way back home, reached home before the clock strike 12.

sunday was kinda boring; met mel, corrinne, mellisa n mary for lunch. went to church in the evening; bumped into cassie after church. she's tall and really pretty now. also saw the girl in church again. hmmm.... wonder who she is.

a thought

i almost went into a relationship with someone but i decided not too as i know that i won't be happy in the end. so i'm still single and life goes on. understand what freedom means now. thank u!!

accompanied my mom to the polyclinic and as my mom can't really walk long distance now, so we waited for a cab . . . for amost an hr. even called comfort and the taxi were all booked. alas we got a cab at 11am, and it happened just as we abt to give up. told the taxi cab driver and he told me that ppl are just not happy working for the company anymore. the company expects more from the drivers but their welfare is not taken care off. hmmmmm.... guess everywhere is the same then. =p but something the cab driver told me struck me.

the cabs drivers used to have a percentage of the advertisement cost that they have on their cabs. however, that benefit has been taken away from them by the company. however, the cab driver still have the duty of maintaining the adverts. hence it wld be an extra job for them esp if the cab have adverts on the roof. (not sure if it goes the same as buses). furthermore, the company could tell the cab driver to report to certain place to have the adverts fixed and it will take 2 hrs which means no compensation. on top of that, cab drivers have to use their daily takings to pay for their summons, petrol and whatsoever.

of which i ask myself this question, if what has been said is true . . where is the justification in price increased? if the company are enjoying the profits from the adverts and not taking care of the well being of their employees why should the public suffer. it's always the same reason for the price increase. so again where is the justification.

went to starbucks city hall with my bud tony and headed to the marina bay sands singapore. took a walk on the helfax bridge which offers a beautiful view of the marina resort as well as the cbd. the casino opens it doors too, and its so funny. they have entries just like the ones at causeway - singapore citizens and foreigners. should have taken a picture but was not sure if i could as there were so many securities, maybe next time. below are a few pics that i took with my nokia 3120 classic. so pardon the quality. =)

been working like 12 hrs from mon to fridays and for like five saturdays now. finally i am going to take a break tmr. guess i am going thru a phase of not knowing what i want in life. another crossroads perhaps. long ago, i thought i would be settled down at the age of 41, but that i guess wont be happening. i have basically no life now. going back into the rat race and working till i drop just to get enough for the bills, food and daily expenses. when will the time come, when i don't have to ask how much before buying a thing. thinking back, was i foolish enough to part with $2k afterwhich i have gone deeper in debts. am i always this unlucky in everything. guess i am just fated to go through life without knowing my purpose in life. that sucks. the ugly truth rocks!!!

met natasha for dinner on 27 mar @ marina square for dinner. we had dinner at waraku, it was pretty awesome. wont mind going back there again. tasha's bf william joined us half way thru dinner after work. was suprised that he understood the menu pretty well and then realised that he works at a jap restaurant. ;) so anyway, after dinner we headed for drinks at paulaner brauhaus, millenia walk. the place was surpisingly not packed on a saturday night but the beer's still good.

anyways, it was good meeting up with tasha again. the girl i met thru huirong's blog a long time back. the girl who invited me to her birthdays but so far managed to attend two out of three or four? the girl who i reaised still read my blogs for that i am appreciative but sorry that i have not been updating it. so to that girl, i wanna say thanks for being a friend. :)

sometimes i wish time could just roll back itself. clubbing last week was kinda fun, it was refreshing. i realised that i don't send much time with my friends anymore and i don't really know who i am anymore. am i doing what i really want or am i made to believe this is what i want. i could just carry on working and make in life still, my job's going to get me somewhere someday. so why do i stress myself so much in this things that i don't see coming. maybe i am not cut out for this. yes i wanted it so much but i see myself being left behind slowly. all the things i believe in are slowly fading away. do i really want to go on this way?? am i losing my faith in you?? i am lost!!!

start of a new journey

tmr will be a new beginning for me, a new place and new/old colleagues. yes, i will be starting work at a new company. wish me luck!!

after a long break, it's going to be hard waking up tmr, to be working for someone again. i like where i am, can this last a bit longer. sigh... but nonetheless, i'll be making new friends and who knows i may meet someone, or have i already met her??? oh well, its too early to tell.

anyways, let me intro you to my dream car for now its the audi r8, and it just came out with its latest version r8 v10 which is lighter that the original r8. okay okay, i don't have my driving license yet but it doesn't hurt to dream. my previous dream car was the lambo. =p pick up an issue of torque feb issue and you'll see an comparison with audi r8 v10 and lambo gallardo, two awesome cars.

a new beginning

it's been like 4 months since i last blogged and i would like to thank daphne tan who has inspired me to blog again. =D well a lot has happened since then. i left the company and wonderful colleagues of momcc last nov after being there for three years and joined a small general insurance agency. thought things would be easier in a small agency since i was from a big mnc insurance company 7 yrs ago; but i was wrong. things was not all that rosy and eventually i didn't like what i was doing. so i looked south and got myself another job which i'll be starting in feb 2010.

at the moment i am helping out friends here and there; and slacking at the same time. well, it's something that we all dream off, doing nothing much but earning enuff, but sadly it's just a dream. only 2% make it big in their business. unfortunately i won't even make it even in the 98%. but to think of it, if we would to buy a successful franchise like macdonalds in singapore how much will it cost......... well the answer is, we are not able to buy as a macdonalds franchise is not available in singapore. however to buy a macdonalds franchise, it will cost $800k to $3m; alot of money but macs is still opening at every ends of the globe. what if we have a slice of the pie, imagine the profits that we would be reaping. hawaii.......here i am come!!!! =D

BUT it's only a dream. i once told a business associate that the audi r8 is my dream car but he told me not to dream too much as it may turn to be my nightmare. i could almost hear twilight zone in the background. oh well, dreams are dreams. a friend recently told me commoners lower their dreams to suit their income, however a successful person find ways to increase their income to fulfil their dreams. hmmmm which one are we??? well, i am the commoner like everyone else working a nine to five job, not having a fantastic salary to fulfil my r8 dream. but then again it keeps me wondering, what would a successful person do to achieve the status of where they are now, financial freedom. not having a thing to worry about! well, ultimate dream is to have financial freedom and still be able to jet about in my own private jet plane. now thats something!!!
