i have uploaded a whole bunch of 80's music after having a swell time at double o last night but strangely enough the music's not giving me any inspiration...hahahaha...

went double o on saturday night and never had i so much fun clubbing. never knew my colleagues can be totally awesome on the dance floor and it was like no holds barred, anything goes.. like andy replied - 'it was the grand debut of the dancing skeleton. awkwardly funny but what the heck..looking forward to the next night out!'

hahaha... yea bro, what the heck!! we live for ourselves and we have the right to express ourselves. i was totally not sure what i was doing out there too and i know Hitch would totally disapprove of it.. hahaha.. man, it was totally whacked and i almost whacked this guy who tried to cut in every time. good thing, he got the message and never bothered us anymore. . :p

before u guys think that it we had shit loads to drink and the party went wild.. nah, we had only 5 jugs and spend most of the time dancing the night away.. =) will upload the pictures when i get them... in the meantime, chelsea was held by tottenham which means liverpool have a chance to go on top of table but they drew with villa... so chelsea is still on top. . . sigh.

when sunday wasn't really a sun-day

went for the bbq yesterday @ east coast with ja-son ytd. yes, i pulled ja-son along with me for what was supposed to be a fun day under the sun. But it was pouring all over island, even the taxi driver was amazed that we were actually going down.

when we reach carpark f2, we search for our fellow colleagues and it wasn't hard finding them. yes folks, if u saw a pathetic goup out at east coast cuddled together under a few umbrellas bbq-ing, yes that was us. hahaha. well, the bbq pit was already paid for and there was lotz of food, so the show must go on. we were all drenched as mother nature had a fun time showering us with her blessings. dave, yuni n her bf were the 'master chef' for the day as they braved the rain to serve us good food.

soon a group near us finally left so we had shelter at last and jumnah improvise a make shit bbq pit under the shelter - the bbq-ing continued. mother nature really do have a sense of humour, now that we were out of the rain, she send us the wind. imagine being drenched to yr skin and then being blown away with strong winds.... i wished i was tucked in bed with a blanket man. good thing, someone brought absolute vodka and it did keep us warm or maybe it was just me. hahaha..

well, all good things had to come to an end and we called it a day .. i almost left with dian but my niece xl asked me join them for some bean curd so how can i refuse my niece. dave, ja-son and me took victor's car while andy, andrea, jenny and xin lan niece took rick's car. we went to geylang to have bean curd and drinks. on the way there me and ja-son were having a crazy time in the car, one moment we were quite, the next moment we dancing to power 98. it was really funny, that even dave joined us... haha. after supper, victor had to leave and he left in a hurry not sure why. so dave, jenny & andy took a cab whilst rick drove the rest us back with andrea living in the heart of geylang. now u know why we went to geylang to eat. haha.

anyways, i was glad that i went for the bbq even though i was already sick and it was pouring out there. i had fun out in the rain, chasing runaway umbrellas and having vodka with my niece. looking forward to this saturday for another night out with my colleagues.

oh yes, i was on medical leave today and it ain't fun getting sick at my age. it really hurts everytime i sneeze or cough. now here's something to tickle ur funny bone. i just took my medications and realised that one of them had a sweet taste. as i down it with water, i realised that it was lozenges and it was too late to apologies. hahaha...

okie the medication is really making me drowsy, so good night to where ever u are!!

think i am falling sick... the cough is getting worse and i think i am coughing blood. sigh, i am getting old and the weather isn't helping. suppose to have slept early but i am still up. guess i'll turn in now and hope to get well in the morning. still in a mix mind to attend the bbq later today @ east coast. . nights..

Football Weekend

My eldest sis send me this picture of St James' Park via MMS. Yes, she went to watch the Newcastle game against Bolton which Owen scored the winner.

When Owen scored, Liverpool were trailing to Boro by a goal and my sis asked me if we want to borrow Owen. I replied its okie, we have Torress but in the end it was home-grown lads Carragher and Gerrard that won it for Liverpool. We're at the top of table and hope that Chelsea wld lose of draw at Wigan but that it is highly unlikely. Well, if Stoke City can beat Aston Villa (3-2) and Hull drawing with Blackburn (1-1), anything can happen. Over at Craven Cottage, Fulham is leading 1-0 to Arsenal.

was supposed to watch 'money no enough 2' with rob but since tony could only join us later, we caught death race instead. the movie was awesome and it is adapted from 'death race 2000' which starred sylvester stallone as 'machine gun joe' & david carradine as 'frankenstein'.

"ex-con jensen ames (statham) is forced by the warden of a notorious prison (allen) to compete in our post-industrial world's most popular sport: a car race in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory.."

the movie reminded me another movie, freejack in '92 which starred emilio estevez and mick jagger - soundtrack by ac/dc, the movie rocked!! i guess death race would be another cult movie that one would watch again..

My Best Friend's Wedding

My best friend's wedding.

Yes, my sis Mazlina finally tied the knot on Sunday, 17 Aug 08. The reception was held at a multi-purpose hall in Jurong, a stone's throw away from where my sister lives. The decoration was really beautiful and the whole setup was awesome. I really liked this picture which was taken via my colleague's handphone. It's like one of those pics that are really for keeps. :) I really had fun at my sista's wedding although i didn't get to talk to her that much. She had left for her honeymoon on Tuesday and wld be back next week. It was really a beautiful wedding and I will remember this day for a long time... really enjoyed myself.

after the wedding, some of us adjorned to Jurong Point to chill @ mc-cafe. a day of fun not directly under the sun. Oh yes, i finally manage to take a picture with my kawaii niece and i was really happy.. still am actually.. keke.

a crazy weekend....

it was another awesome weekend...it started off on a mellow note though as i attended my grand uncle's memorial mass @ lady of lourdes. it was nice meeting up with cousins, uncles, aunties and of course my grand aunt. after the mass n reception, my mom, sis n i followed my bro and family to take the bumboat ride across singapore river. it was quite fun actually looking at boat quay & clark quay at a differnt light. my nieces definetly had fun..

it's times like this that i wished i had a real good camera but for now i have to settle with my nokia 5300 xpress music, so pardon for the not so great pictures.. :) anyways, after the bumboat ride, my bro and family left for home. we were at fullerton hotel and my 'wonderful' sis left and i had to send my mom home. took a cab from fullerton to yishun - drop my mom off - and took the same cab to mohd sultan - damaged $30! ouch.... i was intially half a mind to make the trip down to town again..

anyways, i met melvin @ the entrance and we went up to double o. it was nice seeing everybody again and also some new faces. it was after midnight when i reach double o and the shit load of drinks were already finished but more was on the way. the night went by with not much of a incident and everybody had fun, u have to be there to believe me.. haha.

ended the day with breakfast back in yishun with mel & corrinne. went back home @ 6-ish, slept for about 4 hours and i'm up again for my colleague's wedding @ jurong but i'll post that tmr.. need to sleep now... gd night.

Ho Ho Ho Santa has certainly arrived early this year. I saw this 1 meter tall Santa @ Marina Square today (10 Aug 2008). He is handcraft out of 80kg of chocolate and requires at least two people to move him about, yes santa still got lots of presents to make ya. :p However the question is how is he going to survive till christmas... hmmm.

Anyways, the week has been alright. Celebrated Jenny's birthday at Seoul Garden @ Marina Sq on Wed, 6 Aug 2008. Waiting for jenny & niece xin lan to upload the photos.. hee. Then I caught Mummy 3 on Friday with andy, andrea, evangeline n jason. It was alright but still better than Hellboy 2... hahaha. I know my bro rob would disagree but it's okie I know u have fondness for 'horny' people. . lolz. Took the train ride home with evangeline whilst the rest headed for supper. Evangeline happens to be dominique's cousin and she is super sweet. Sometimes, i see myself in her, the caring type of person which i just realised can be quite annoying a time; yes, i know i am shooting myself here too... haha.

moving along, saturday was spend hanging out with my ex-choir mates for dinner in yishun and sunday was spend with my colleagues at marina and that's where i took the picture of santa, it's just out swenson's. i had lotz of fun today and it felt like the 'old times' once again. :) yipee!! hmmm... tot i saw huirong today on my way to marina square via citylink but i can't be sure.

anyways, it's back to work tmr and another long week with nothing much to look forward to during the week. But i am looking forward to next sunday as my colleague cum sister will be getting married and i'm pretty excited about it!! yes, it's going to be another party weekend next week.

Oh yes, came across the band dragonforce while surfing and I became a fan almost immediately. This guys are amazing i tell ya, never have i heard anyone playing at this kind of speed. okie rarely listen to metal but i think this guys are still amazing. they have a new album which will be out worldwide on 26 August 2008 and 20 August 2008 in Japan. Lead/Rhythm Guitars & Backing Vocals is Herman Li; born in Hong Kong, Herman is a self-taught musician, learning mostly from listening to his favourite music and watching videos. Love this video 'Through the Fire and Flames' where Herman and Sam Totman (another Lead/Rhythm Guitars & Backing Vocals) 'battle' it out in the video (3.23) ... enjoy!!

a date with chivas....

well, it was an awesome and memorable saturday...

started off with a farewell lunch with my colleagues at sofra, a turkish cafe & restaurant. the food was great that we wanted to have seconds. we tried samples of everyone's food and all the dishes were great. we couldn't remember the name of the dishes but the number of the dish. like i have the number 33 and it was great!! hahaha... i have uploaded the pics on facebook but we had forgotten to take a group pic. well another time.

met melvin n corrinne in the evening for dinner at 848 whilst we waited for carol. took a cab down to club colado @ boat quay to finish the chivas bottle. there was a little bit of delay though as they couldn't find the bottle as there was more than one melvin tagged to three chivas. good thing, mel had the receipt and the manager sorted it out and we got our bottle. in between conversations and drinking, we were cam-whoring. soon the bottle was done and we were out of there.

took separate cabs to zouk and met up with debz, nicole and fer. it was good seeing debz after a long time and of course finally meeting up with nicole n fer. fer is one cool dude and nicole is beautiful. debz got us in and brought us to the members area. we had a cool view of the dance floor and people just swaying to the music. i was looking at the dj console and was thinking how cool would be to do it for just one night. anyways, the birthday gal debz was having the time of her life and good thing she didn't do a 'town house' on us or we would be gone!! haha...

left the place abt 3am and we went on our separate ways... i took a cab to pasir ris to meet up with my colleagues. good thing some were still awake, had supper/breakfast and chatted for a while. soon fatigue took the best of me and i drifted into deep sleep. was woken up abt 10ish by my 'sis' lina and got ready to check out.. had a lift from dian all the way back to yishun and i really liked her car.... actually her dad's car. soon i was home sweet home and i only crashed abt 2ish in the afternoon only to be woken up by mom to attend evening mass and it was such a drag.

it was a fun saturday and i didn't have to sacrifice any thing. did manage to make it to all three events. will do this all over again in two weeks time together with my sis 'lina' wedding.

next stop: jenny's birthday!

I want to believe....

it's the saturday a few mins to noon and an hour to knock off from work!! yea....ssshhhh.

watched 'x-files' last night with rob, willy and rob's friend at cathay. the show started with the haunting theme song... but after 140 mins, i wanted to believe but the show was a dissappointment. hie... should have watched 'money no enough 2', my 'niece' said it was touching.

oh well, there is always another day and time... oh yes, went for dinner on thursday to cafe cartel with andy, jason, evangeline & andrea. no occassion, just wanted a break from work and have a bonding session... hahaha.

going to have lunch later at sofra @ shaw bldg with my colleagues. a belated farewell lunch for meena. have not been there but guess it will be an experience coz it's the people that makes it happen. ;)

tonight is going to be a bit happening tooooooo.... happening as i would have to be at three places. i gotta a chalet to attend with my other batch of colleagues a belated birthday thingi among other things. then its off to boat quay, back to club colado to finish the chivas with my bro before it expires next week. then its off to zouk to celebrate another friend's birthday!! hie.... it's going to be very tight and i guess i have to sacrifice one which will it be??? Hmmmm...

its 15 mins to knock off time and it lunch under the sun!! hahaha.... well, guess it's going to a enjoyable saturday after all - hope u have a good one too!! cheers..
