xcape!

spent the sat at escape theme park in pasir ris. didn't want to go in the first place but change my mind on fri and i'm glad i went. got to know some of my colleagues and some of the rides almost gave me a heart attack. (now i know where to bring fiza on her b'day :p) was telling my colleague that they shld hve had this rides like ten years ago when the heart is still strong. we had a game like the amazing race n we wld guess the next point. on reaching there, we had a brain teaser which we had to solve. if we can solve it, all of us had to take the ride and if we solve it, only two hve to take the ride. in some cases where we cld solve the brain teaser, we still went for the rides. it was kinda fun.... but the heavy lunch we had before the games wasnt a good idea. my group which consist of three guys and two girls, came in last.hahahaha... coz we were model citizens and queue at every game point. :p we had dinner after that at the beach and some of us told ghost stories. some were actual events that happend to them and it was quite scary but of course since pasir ris didn't belong to us, all good things had to come to an end. took the bus ride back and was talking to my colleague who lives in yishun too.

sunday was spent in church attending the parish assembly from 2 to 5pm. the initally part of it was sooooo boring coz it was full of information but when we broke into groups, the topics were much more clearer and i shld say the dicussions were fruit-full. i certainly hope the ppl wld support the youth rather than expecting too much from them. do remember that we were young once ourselves and things were much diff back then. lets come together as a family and let us build.

one thing i realised what sets the previous choir diff from this one, is one guy - william cai. looking back i guess what he had done for the choir was amazing and will be hard to duplicate. i guess by doing what he did brought us all closer together despite all the ups and downs we had. we worked hard and play hard. i guess what we are missing here is that we all caught up with our life that we are forgetting to reach out. we are expect too much from the young ones but we dont not deliver ourselves. its a fifty-fifty world out there and juz because we are adults doesn't mean that we do not make mistakes - we are not gods. when the young ones work hard, we have to work twice harder... we always have to be one step ahead of them, so they don't fall. nobody is perfect hence mistakes are made everyday and corrected everyday. for the young ones, this is their time lets not take it away from them. given a chance, we would like to trade places with them anytime. so give them some room to grow, be their friend and confidant. rules are meant to be broken and authority has to come with respect. we all just to give a little more to make the world a better place.

i had a better weekend this time ard, thanks to nessa, joanne p and pat! love u gals...
