What Happened in 2012 (Part 3)

Here we go again.... I met up with a good friend Sabrina after my KL trip. We kinda like meet up every x'mas and catch up. This time around we had brunch at P.S. Cafe @ Dempsey. We originally wanted to go the branch at Ann Siang Hill but on the day itself, she changed to Dempsey as she managed to get her dad's car. So off to Dempsey we went.

It was crowded when we arrived so we had to wait like 15 mins for a table. The downside is there is no sofas or chairs for patrons to sit and relax while waiting for their table. We finally got a seat... outside, if u do fancy nature this is the place for you!! You will have a bee or two, buzzing to your table attracted to the cubes of sugar. Ants on the ground looking very busy. The peacefulness and the very nice smell of nature. However, soon the clouds were turning against us and it started to drizzle so we asked for table inside. No bee to worry inside. They had this very big x'mas tree inside that went up through the roof. I wonder if it's still there. After brunch we carried our conversation to ben & jerrys where i had a corona and she had tea or was it coffee? We caught up with what was going on in our lives, who we are seeing etc.. All in all, it was a beautiful Sunday with a beautiful friend!!

New Year's Eve saw me attending a concert @ Woodlands Civic Plaza attending Corrinne's band 'EMRYE''s gig! I arrived at the stroke at midnight. The fireworks were going off as I made my way to the stage. Couldn't find the guys so I called Melvin but couldn't hear him. Pat called me but I still didn't know where they were but I somehow eventually found them at the side of the stage. Mel's was recording the concert and the rest of us were enjoying it. Corrinne was awesome, never seen her so alive on stage. Here's just one of videos that I think is awesome!!

After the concert, we 'tau-pau' some food and headed to Peter Anthony's place to chill. I ordered prata of course... 1 egg and 2 kosong. What I got was 2 eggs and 1 kosong. Not a bad start to the new year. After eating, we just chilled in the hall exchanging stories and the drinks began. Sally joined us with a friend, a cool dude but I forgot his name. He brought some life to the party and started a game which I can remember what it was.... of course the loser had to drink. Soon the game died down as I guess everyone was tired. I finished my corona and had coffee after that. Sally and her friend, left soon after as she had to work on x'mas day. Suso joined us just about the time when we were leaving. Forrester, Patricia & Peter kept him company. Mel drove us (Corrinne, Alyssa & me) home and so it was the end of the 2012 and a start of a brand new year. At this point, I wanna thank Peter for his hospitality again.

Looking back, 2012 did pass by very fast. Made some new friends but 2013 will see me letting go of some friends not worth keeping. Yes, I know that as we get older our priorities change but still there's always a time for a cup of coffee.  However, if you still that I am not worth your time then I shall not waste your fucking precious time. Yes, I am Idiot, a Loser, microphone abuser but I will slowly but surely build myself up and be somebody within the next two years!!

What happened in 2012 (Part 2)

A lot of things happened in December, it was an exciting month for me. I put up my Christmas tree early this month however I didn't feel the Christmas spirit. Hence the tree was not done up as much as I liked it.

Christmas Tree O' Christmas Tree

This is me trying to be creative... =)

I will prob get a new tree this year and new lights, the old ones gave me small electric shocks. Well, hope this new year x'mas will be better than the last. Anyways, December also saw one of my very good friend, Crystal getting married. She look really beautiful and I was roped in to do the montage for their wedding. I practically teared when the montage was on. If u do look closely, u can see the shades of brown, black & white hair that I have. Hehe...

With the beautiful Bride!!!

It was also a time to catch up with old friends...

I also managed to meet up with an old friend. This was
us in 2006...

Vanessa looking gorgeous as always. =)

The two couples and I'm just an extra.. haha
This pics were taken earlier after the church wedding!!

Seriously didn't know what Rob was doing
when I made that face... haha

A few weeks after the wedding and a few days before Christmas, I packed my bags and went off to K.L. on 22 December 2012 with a bunch of crazy people. Never been out of Singapore for the past 5 years... so yeah!! We met at Jurong and drove up to K.L. Besides being a cab that did 120 kmph, I had never set in car that went more than that. We went by Tuas Link and there was no turning back after crossing the checkpoints. Some roads were not lighted up at all so it pretty scary when we were doing close to 180 to 200. We had three cars and our car was in the center, in front of us - a BMW and behind us a big jeep!! Each car had a walkies talkie so we could warn ahead of something or just talk crap. Realized that if you were in the first lane in Malaysia and if you signal right means you wanna over take. We had no trouble with that on the way to K.L as every car did give way but we had some resistance on the way back to Singapore, maybe it was during the day. Even a Singapore registered car tried to play punk with us. We left SG at 4am and reached outskirts of KL at about 9am. We stopped for breakfast at a famous Bak Kuh Teh stall where celebrities also patronize. Being the only Indian who would prefer a plate of prata with fish curry actually found it very nice. But of course I didn't eat the intestines dish, that I cannot stomach.

So anyways, after breakfast we left for our hotel in the heart of K.L. city.  We reach Ascott Hotel but all of our rooms were not ready. We had only own room available. The other two room have not checked out. So we dumped our bags in one room and when for breakfast (again).

Ascott Hotel

Brunch @ KLCC
Finally the guys room was ready.
We had three rooms. One room to the married couple as the wife is expecting. One room was one bedroom with bathtub, shower n toilet; one hall with TV and dinning hall. The guys room had two bedroom with the same facilities, one big dining hall, one dining room and a kitchen. The girls room had three bedrooms with the same facilities, a bigger hall & dining room and a kitchen. After settling down and getting a bit of sleep, we went to have our dinner, yes we actually skipped lunch.

My Omelette and Me! :)

Tasty Chicken Wing

As you can see, the satay was quickly snap up coz
it was that good....

We did do some sight-seeings too like going up to Mid-Valley point which was really huge. Of course KLCC Shopping mall which was very posh which got me thinking if the World Trade Centre was the same. We been to other places too but just can't remember it now. I didn't take much of pictures so just bear with the ones I did take...

I Love This Shot of KLCC Tower!!

Took this shot without Flash!!

Personalized Cups!!

Getting ready for Christmas Eve Party

Besides the Pizza the rest of food were made by us.
We had our very own Christmas Dinner!! :)

The crazy bunch that I spent my x'mas with!! :) :)

Checking out on Christmas Day!!

With the lovely Felicia!!

Well, I did put on some weight after the trip due to all that eating. I also bought two nice shades at a bargain, all thanks to Felicia & Del. I am very much looking forward to the next December trip, as I am missing KL already. *sob sob*. Well, we rode back all the way back to SG. We took this fucking long tunnel and left KL with an half an hour or so. Took a new highway which brought us all the way back to JB where we ... stopped to eat again!!! We made two stops... the first stop i can't remember but the second stop was at this famous Lok Lok (i think that's how it's spell) joint by a small parking space. The van stereo blasted techno music which I was grooving to it. The food was awesome, so was the company. We had out fill and left for Singapore. We passed customs smoothly and we were back in Singapore. Home Sweet Home. At this point I would like to thank the drivers for taking us there and bringing us back safely. I am very much looking forward to the next trip!!

The organizer Mr Martin Chee also made a video of the trip, so sit back and enjoy the video!!!!

What happened in 2012 (Part 1)

This was at Mel's Place at 2A Kuo Chuan Avenue. The same night Liverpool beat Norwich 5-2.Unfortunately they didn't show the match.Hahaha. . . However, prior to Mel's birthday, we celebrated Pat's birthday at Outback Singapore. The food was good and the staffs were excellent.

Pat wondering how to cut the cake!!

MARINA BAYS SANDS

My second eldest niece, Chiara.

Also in October, we celebrated my mum's birthday at Marina Bay Sands. It was beautiful. Here are some of the pictures I took. The rest are on my Facebook.

MUM!

My youngest niece, Sophia!

Nothing much happened in November, except the fact that I was seriously sick. I felt sick on a Wednesday night, temp were 40 degrees. Next day visited my company's doctor, the temp dropped to 36. Doctor couldn't find anything wrong, gave some medications and a days MC. Fever return at night back to 40 again. BUT I still went back to work the next day which was Friday, was feeling a bit better. Survived the whole day at work. Left office at around 6ish, went to interchange and waited for the bus. As I walked to the interchange, I felt really dizzy and I can't tell what's wrong with me. I couldn't walk in a straight line but I managed my way to the interchange @ Bukit Merah. As I waited for the bus, I had the feeling that I needed to throw up. Good thing the interchange had a toilet and I just threw up. The fact is I didn't eat much when I was sick because I just couldn't eat. So I went to the take the shuttle bus to SGH where I walked to A&E and went to the toilet first to throw up again. This time it was quite painful actually it was really painful. Found my strength again and proceeded to the triage section. The doctor then took my blood pressure and temp. It was confirm that my bp was low and fever was high. He told to go to the fever section.

At the fever section, I waited where a male nurse attended to me. He again took my bp n fever again. He gave me two panadols and told to wait for the doctor. So back I went to the waiting area and after a few moments, my number was called. This cute female doctor attended where I repeated my story for the third time. Then the doctor told the male nurse something and he proceeded to take my blood. It was quite painful when he withdrew the needle. The doctor turn around and told that she didn't call for it. She wanted him to do something else. The doctor then told my left hand and poke a needle through my veins. You know at hospitals where patients have this small tube like thing poked through veins. Not sure whats the actual term for it but it's motherfucking painful. BUT I am now glad the male nurse didn't do it. After inserting the tube like thing in, the doctor said needed to inject three things into me as my blood pressure was low and something else but I just couldn't register it after seeing the injections. You should have seen the size of the last injection, it was fucking long. But the doctor was nice.. sensing my fear, she told me that she would do it slowly. Yes it was painful but as painful that I had imagine it to be. After all the injections, another female nurse entered and took over the male nurse. She was also not bad looking, I said to myself thing just got sweeter. hahaha... She brought a wheel chair for me and wheel me to the next room where I took my shirt off for her as she got the erg machine ready. She told me to lay down but as soon I laid down, I couldn't was breathing very heavily. I got up again and I was like wtf was wrong with me. The nurse apologise that she couldn't bring the thing up and assured me that it wld be over soon. So i laid down again and the heavy breathing started. As I laid there, I told myself I should have just gone home and sleep but then again what if I went to bed and I was breathing this heavily, I would be back here again so back to square one. The nurse did a quick job on the erg and then another doctor came to wheel me the x-ray room. He told me that he was a catholic too from Nativity Church and asked me which church I came from so I told him. I stood up from my wheel chair and did the x-ray. He then gave me a brochure and asked me to fill it as to how I find his approached and service. Like a compliment kind thing so I filled it up, not sure what I was writing. Then he asked me to do the x-ray again as it was not right. So I did it again and the second time was good then the doctor wheel me to waiting area and asked me to wait here.

I then realised that I've been there for almost two hours as I sat there waiting. The nurse came and fix me up with glucose thingi and asked to me to wait. After a while, I felt very restless siting on the wheel chair. I told myself , it would more comfortable siting on the the chair but the wheelchair was locked and I didn't know to unlocked it. So I looked behind to the chairs so endearingly. I got up a few times, stretched myself, looked at the chairs and set down again. All these while, my home was calling me and my sis was messaging me to buy dinner for my mum. Yes, nobody knew I was at sgh a&e except a good friend. Slowly I was feeling better and I was back to being my normal self. Now I really wanted to go home. Then all those movies where the action hero escapes from the hospital came to mind. I just wanted to walk out but I didn't have to guts to pull the needle out from my left hand. So I patiently waited for the cute doctor or the nurse. The nurse did pass by eventually, I told that I was feeling better and wanted to go home. She told me to wait for my blood test result. I waited and waited she saw me looking at her and kept saying the doctor will attend to me soon. She was also very busy attending to other patients. Then eventually the cute doctor came and told me that I could go back home.. I was like yay!!! She took off the needle and I went ouch but glad it was out. The doctor told me that they found something wrong with my liver so they would fix me an appointment with sgh to check on my liver. So I got my medications, got my appointment and left sgh a&e. It was like 11ish, called my good friend and told her I was leaving sgh so she didn't have to come down and I took the bus home.

Got two days MC but I still went back to work on Saturday although I was still sick but I survived. I was still sick over the weekend, couldn't quite eat anything. On Monday, I was still sick, fever was still there. Went to the poly clinic, doctor gave me some medications and I got one day MC. I was back to work on Tuesday, still feeling weak but i guess the fever had subsided. However, I was able to finally eat a full meal on Tuesday and I felt much better after that. It was the longest I have been sick and I certainly don't want to go down that road again.
