In Memory

Received a message ytd afternoon that a friend's dad had passed away. Kinda sad considering the fact that this friend's of ours is only 17 this year. I lost my dad when I was 29, but the difference is I wasn't close to my dad as she is to her dad. I hope that made sense somehow. Well, I hope things work out right for her.

Rochster's Foundation

Just finished updating my friendster profile as well as my blog as you can see. So please feel free to explore, have fun and support the rochster's foundation! hahaha.

Well, Liverpool kicked Man United out of the FA Cup ytd. It will be great if Wigan wins the Carling Cup and end Man United miserable season without a trophy. Where will you be next season Fergie?? Next stop for Liverpool, the Champions League clash with Benfica! Its a match that I won't wanna miss.

Well, ytd was a good day at choir. Rene, Caroline and Manda :) dropped by after mass, they attended mass too ytd. It was good to see them after so long but was sad that I couldn't catch up with them as we had practise to go to. Anyways, debz is getting married in June at St. Joseph Church at Victoria Street. Yes, it will be good going back to my old Anthonian school and relieved the memories. As for Debz, I am really thrilled that she's getting married. Guess Debz and Del will be the most happening married couple in town. I certainly hope ppl will wake up and put an end to 'dishing' Debz coz she's going to the next chapter in her life and you're not. :p

Well, everything is moving so fast and it's hard to imagine that a decade is almost over. A decade, can you believe it! Y2K seem like only two years ago, I remember coming back to work on New Year's day to test the system for any glitches. Thankfully everything went well, the planet didn't shut down. ;p Guess we all had the feeling the Y2K is gonna be the space age era but I guess we have to wait a little longer.

Anyways, gotta get out of here and get ready for confirmation prac soon, but before i go please remember to support the rochster's foundation!!

Spirits in a material world.

This is some freaky stuff, I've yet to come up with a logical explaination for this.... can you?? Click Road Block

please do comment if you have a logical explaination or believe that what you see is really a ghost!!

since i'm on the topic of ghost and such, the other day i was in my room getting ready to accompany my mom to Northpoint when I heard my mom knock on my door. Since I was already changed, I opened the door but my mom was not anywhere near. I found my mom in her room which is adjacent to mine, and asked if she had knocked on my door and my mom said no. I was like okie!! and this reminded me of another incident which happened last year when my elder sis was on her home leave. my younger sis have gone out and she has the habit of not locking the door when she goes out. so i locked the door after she had left, and sat down to watch tv with my elder sis. after a long while, i went to kitchen to get a drink and return only to find that the door unlocked. i asked my sis if anyone open the door again, she replied no and i might have imagine that i'd locked it. she told me to juz forget abt it but i was 100% sure i locked it. the fact that my sis is nun and asked me to keep hush abt it, kept me thinking if she did see something but didn't want to tell me. well, somethings never change... i do believe that there's something in my hse but as long as it doesn't disturb i am fine with it. ;p

a friend recently confided with us that she was possessed a few months back. the unrightful owner however didn't managed to take full control of her. i guessed 'she' didn't go through the whole documentation proccess. so a lesson in life here, short cuts don't get you anywhere! audious....

The Cause

its nice to know that the my fav team got a win on valentine's day. another three points in the bag and closing the gap btwn Man U. speaking of the devil, we'll be meeting them this weekend FA Cup tie. it will be sweet to send them out of the FA Cup and back to hell!! it will be great to win this weekend, it will give us the moral boost when we face Benfica on Tuesday.

Its gonna be a interesting Champions League next week:

Bayern Munich v AC Milan

Benfica v Liverpool

Real Madrid v Arsenal

Chelsea v Barcelona

I guess the whole world will be watching the game btwn Barca and Chelski (as mel puts it). Usually we would always be backing the English team but I guess thime around I guess we will all be backing Barca to beat the crap out of Chelsea. But have you seen the condition of their pitch. a billion dollar club with a field that is worse than our Jalan Besar Stadium.

Even Barca has blasted Chelsea for Stamford Bridge pitch. "The Spaniards (Barca) believe that Mourinho is hoping the uneven turf will affect Barcelona's passing game and help Chelsea to gain a first-leg advantage before the return match on March 7." Another cheap plot from Mourinho. Perhaps he can take an advise from "The Cause: Joga Bonito".

Hard rock meets retro.......just push play!

I kinda like this song so i searched for the video and it got me laughing coz it set against the 80's Music Show, Solid Gold. The closest thing to MTV back then. Tell me who can forget the Solid Gold Dancers, man! This video rocks!!

Its my birthday!!!

"Go, go, go, go
Go, go, go shawty
It's your birthday
We gon' party like it's yo birthday
We gon' sip Bacardi like it's your birthday
And you know we don't give a fuck
Coz It's MY BirthdaY"

yup, i'm a freaking 37 years old today!! might be going to the beach tmr with fiza, laze under the afternoon sun and prob learn how to fish...hahaha.

welcome to the suck!

well, sat was a blast!! like what soffie wrote on her blog.

"you know that you threw a great party when ppl ask/say:-
- this is the best party! thanks!
- when's the next party?
- can i have her number.."

the night started out with ap & soffie, rod & carol, crystal, melvin, n ap's friend. soon we had our usual space, and our own party started and ap's friends of friends began to fill in, so did the drinks. ;p it was crazy, we had four bottles of god knows what, and loads of jugs..hahaha. i was pretty high, mel was gone earlier than expected but bounce back later on, crystal's toe got stepped on..........again, edna left early, carol's heel broke, rod was trying to puke to clear his systems, lesbians in the corner making out and ms big boobs at the table in front of us (in obar), three quartes were exposed to the world! the guys almost had a nose bleed i tell ya! we had a toast to caroline's entry is idol, soffie's friend az who'll be leaving for aussie and my birthday on tues. well, the party ended early for us, lucas & friends picked up crystal & mel, rod and carol went off earlier, ap and company were still keeping the party inside alive, and me? well, i called robin for round two.

i headed for 'home' at riverwalk , the former mad monks. met jessica, mag and andi there. it was kinda good seeing mag and jessica although we didnt talk much. well, i got myself a burbon coke and stoned while robbo, andi, jessica and mag went out to the dance floor. yes, rob on the dance floor but i missed it, damn! the music wasn't much of my taste until 'manic street preachers' came on and from there on, the music's kicking but i was stoning in the corner. ;p not sure what time we got out of there, but mag stayed on.

next stop was nasi lemak at sembawang road. didn't know what started it but rob & i were taking a trip back the eighties. fuckin' up the songs to prove that andi is gay, (but of course, he's not) lol....from depeche mode to frankie goes to hollywood. as i type i remember what started it all...the pic of andi. it started the ball rolling and it didnt end there, we brought it home, well almost. we were dishing out eighties music as we made our way back, i tell ya it was crazy and fun at the same time. the eighties will always be remembered!

finally reached home close, 6am sunday and i left the house at 1.30pm sat, coz we had a wedding to do. wedding is to be a happy occassion but this was not, there was tension all around. anyways, got home and slept like a log...i finally got up at five in the evening. had a very late lunch, watched tv and just chilled out. caught 'Jarhead' with robin and andi later, an interesting movie. one thing is for sure, when you're in the army, you get to see things you'll never see or experience as a civilian.

anyways, monday just didn't get off to a good start for me...sometimes i wished things were much more simpler.

fallen angels

been hanging out with rob recently and we shared abt our current situation and the fact that we are not getting any younger, hence we cannot afford to go into 'try and see' relationships; it's gotta be a relationship that will end with a 'i do'. but the sad fact is that there aren't many single girls around our age range anymore. even if there is, they probably have migrated, join the missionary or married to their job. the girls that i seem to be falling for, are beyond the age range. the girl i was seeing is twelve years younger, two years younger than my age range. but i was thinking today, while watching 'walk the line' that i will never find my angel. i have always told myself that if i had a girlfriend, i will call her my angel but i guess it won't happen as angels don't exist anymore...

the mee dynasty

just came back from an interview on a day that it chose to rain. the interview went okie, told her that i will have to think about it and will come back to her next week. it's like a human resource post except i have to recruit agents and it's commission based; but it does look attractive although a lot of hours and hard work has to be put in. cold callings, follow ups, etc... well, if everything else fails, i will give it a shot.

anyways, i would like to share something that a friend sent me. it took place in one of the irc channels, totally hillarious.

past and the present

got an email from ntuc income, an invitation to attend a insurance consultant's recruitment talk on 15th feb, wed. it's a office bound job advising customers on their insurance needs. i guess this will be more suitable for me than IFA but nonetheless i'm still going for the discussion this friday at caltex house, i may never know until i go for it right.

hmmm...was talking to pat just now and she mentioned that mel's got a secret for me but he has made a promised to the rest that he will only tell me after my birthday. wonder what it is...but rest assured its not someone liking me...sigh. i wish it was though! ;p i'll be thrilled! hee hee..

anyways, got up early today as tony wanted to have breakfast which became brunch again. we went to town to have lunch at raffles place, brought back memories for him though as he worked there before. he had a deprieved chillhood i guess, as he was thrilled by the lion dance troupe...hahahaha. we went our separate ways from there as we had to go to pasir ris to meeet a client. i visited my old office and met up with my ex-colleagues and boss. they moment i entered, they all wished me happy birthday in advanced and commented that i've put one weight. the office have changed so much but the people there looked younger actually. hahaha...it was nice catching up with up past once in a while. had a chat with my ex-immediate superior and she pointed out few things that i should be aware of in my next job and areas that i should improve. although some were hard to swallow but i guess one should take it constructive. it was funny, two colleagues told me that they were actually thinking of me and notice that i've not come by for a very long time and before they know it, i'm there! hahahaha.. oh yes, i've joined in the bid for the few million dollars in toto. a percentage of it will be whoa!! i'll be like joe millionaire??? hahaha...

anyways, gonna play my game now before i turned in but before i go i would like to leave you with, "New Species Discovered in Indonesia Jungle". 'The scientists said they discovered 20 frog species — including a tiny microhylid frog less than a half inch long — four new butterfly species and at least five new types of palms.'

Super Bowl

I guess you might know, even if u r not an ardent fan of super bowl xl, that pittsburgh steelers have won the nfl championship 2005. well, what you might want to check out are the ads that happened during the super bowl and some of them are really funny. Click here: Super Bowl Commercials. I like FedEx "caveman' ad from the 1st quater, budweiser "the game" from the 2nd quarter, budweiser "a little help from the 3rd (a heartwarming one), and for the 4th and final quater, i'll leave that to u. don't forget to vote for ur fav commercials. ;)

yes, i've changed my blogskin as i wanted a fresh new look. also i think you would have noticed the google ads on the right; please do support by clicking on it. thanks!

nothing much happened today. supposed to have breakfast with tony but we ended up having lunch instead. had a call from 'first prinicipal financial', they wld like to have a discussion with me on fri at raffles place. not sure if i am cut out being a f.a. hence i am seeking the advice of my own f.a. ;p had another call from eps and they will profil me for this job as a sales co-ordinator at scs in bedok. had another agency who said she will profile for a smiliar kind of job in a computer firm in science park 2, have not heard from her as yet. hopefully i get an interview this week and start work next week, that will be cool.

okie i'm outta here, gonna fill the hungry stomach. :)

you will never walk alone

Welcome to the new theatre of dreams!

No more will the light shine on man united as someone has beaten them to it. introducing murinho & company and their theatrical performance a few hours ago, certainly deserve an oscar, if not an emmy award. tell me how can one play football with a bunch of players who would be better off in a thearical play or something. thats not how football is being played, murinho! come on and play decent football like the rest of the teams.

www.liverpoolfc.tv
Rafael Benitez has launched a scathing attack on the theatrics of Chelsea winger Arjen Robben for the incident that saw Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina sent-off during the Reds' 2-0 defeat at Chelsea.
Benitez did not condone Reina's reaction when he touched Robben, but felt Chelsea's Dutch international made a meal out of the situation.

"I'm in a hurry and I must go to the hospital to see how Robben is, he could be in hospital for a week," commented Benitez.

"It's a crazy situation. Reina made a mistake when he was provoked and touched Robben on the face, but has he broken his neck? I don't understand why you can kick everyone in a game then you touch one player and you are sent-off.

"What sort of professional would do that to another professional knowing he could make him miss three matches?"

Liverpool are likely to appeal against the decision which is set to rule Reina out of the coming matches against Charlton, Wigan and Arsenal.

"On the game itself we created chances in the first half but we made a mistake from a corner and we paid the price for it. Chelsea are a good team and played good counter attacks," added the manager.

"What we need to do is score more goals from the chances we create. In the first half we played well but as soon as we made the mistake Chelsea could play the game as they wanted. They're a good side."

------------------------------------------------
Rafa, rafa why didn't fowler play today? why did u field crouch instead of morientas? and bring on cisse instead of morientas? why didn't u bring on garcia much ealier in the game. i think it high time, you look back to the academy and find a true liverpudian striker. the same academy that produced the likes of owen, gerrard, fowler, macca, and carragher. maybe we could find the next big thing from the youth squad.

friendster

my friendster profile got viewed 16 times since 1 feb 2006, guess its all time new record for me. hahaha... well, i'm bored! man, gotta get up early tmr and meet up for lunch and more vibration jokes and then go through three hours of choir practise for the confirmation mass. sometimes i asked myself, why do we go through all this when we could spend our sundays doing better things, like chilling out mary j. blige's 'be without you'. i simple love the song, been hearing it over and over again and never getting bored of it. its D song at the moment for me. i got it one my friendster and myspace.com. sigh, can't go to sleep; the stomach is feeling a bit funny. i am kinda upset about some things that i know i shouldn't be in the first place coz if that's the way its gonna be then let it be. i'm not going lose sleep over it....starting tmr. ;p although there was a downside to things today, some made my day like nessa for the hugs, fred for making us laugh till our stomach ache, the choir mates for the company and someone who gave me a reason to smile! it's o'four-thirty hours and i'm going to bed; it's just another day for you and me in paradise!

be without u

its just one of those days that u end the day feeling lonely and sad. its funny though, three hours earlier, i was laughing till my stomach hurts like hell becoz of fred and his vibration jokes. the kopitiam, i guess, have never seen such hilarious people ... we were just laughing at almost everything, jen, jp, mel and hatsuee, oh yes, i miss out julia, as she was practically on the floor laughing. lol...but sadly everything good has to come to an end, as we made our way back. walked jp home, and mary anne was at home, so we all came out to the staircase and spoke for an hour or so. she was telling how freaking big her boss house were and man, it's freaking big!! how do did ppl keep up with maintenance of the house and everything else in it. but no, that didnt get me sad. some people live in castles and still have to slog all their life to pay up the hse, while others live in a 5 room with the hse being paid up fully. ;p so yes, i contented with my 5 room hdb flat. so wot got me sad and lonely...well, its about relationships. its funny that the people who tell you stuff about love being not too bad and not to worry coz love will find its way to you, are always the ones in love; but this same people will tell u that love is totally bullshit once its over. i guess we have hear it all before! well, like boy george said, love is love! but i guess it will never come my way! anyways, its gonna be 'ministry of sound' next sat - be there if u want to!

darn, mau u winning at old trafford against fulham. sigh, if only fulham could do a blackburn. anyways, big match tmr at stamford brigde, chelsea vs liverpool! kickoff at midnight! liverpool will be the downfall of chelsea. i guess almost every hardcore football fans will be behind liverpool tmr. the only two people that i hate at chelsea, will be drogba and murinho! i guess everybody will love to see murinho's team lose the title race and also get booted out of champions league by barca! so its gonna be an interesting champions leagues this year - chelsea vs barcelona; benefica vs liverpool; bayern munich vs ac milan; real madrid vs arsenal. matches being played on feb 21 and 22. oh yes, three days before liverpool meet benefica at Estadio da Luz, liverpool will have to play host to man u on feb 18 at anfield. it will be a classic to see fowler score against man united and kick man united out of the fa cup. the fairy tale starts tmr, when liverpool kicks chelsea ass, then everton kicks chelsea out of fa cup, and being beaten twice in a row will demoralised them and eventuallly they will lose to barca at stamford bridge! how's that for a fairy tale ending for chelsea! credit to Wigan who is up against man united in the carling cup final, and currently six in the table. hope they will stay in top flight and qualify for europe next season. credit to the manager too who birthplace is none other than Liverpool! ;p

its a movie weekend..

its been two weeks since i've resign and nothing's come up so far. although i do have an option of going back to the shift work job at jurong east or be an insurance adviser with g.e. somehow i'm kind scared going back to the working world again after going thru a hair raising experience at my previous company. a job phobia but oh well, money don' grow on trees. my cheque came in ytd, not much though but it will do for the time being.

was quite surprised that they showed 'return to pontianak' on five just now. quite draggy but it eventually scared the shit of me. u know how movies like to scare the shit of u by the music, well this movie didn't have to, i guess silence is the best..like what they did in the original ring. you got to catch it if u can, click her for more info about 'return to pontianak'. it was shown here in singapore during the 'screen singapore' in august 2005 together with other classics like the 1958's 'sumpah pontianak'. 'rtp' actually made it to the u.s. but its called the 'voodoo nightmare'. kinda cool website actually, Kyonsi Home of Asian Horror and more. i guess the other movie that really scared me was shutter. it u have not caught it, my advice don't. hee hee... esp if u r into photography, but then again, i guess u had your share of spooky experience.

okie moving on now...please check out my friendster profile. i think its was too cool... ;p and if u log on u find the video of mary j. blige 'be without you' which has been playing on my mind lately. i got it playing on myspace.com too. and it you do log on to myspace.com, u will find the ride of ur life, final destination 3 or as they put it, this ride will be the death of you. wat say you?? about to watch the trailer on www.fd3movie.com. okie...it might give u another look at roller coaster ride again. well, from the trailer its like, whats new but since i've caught fd and fd2, why not make it fd3. i kinda prefered fd2 to the first one actually. lets see if the third installment, hopefully the last, lives up to it. hmmm...what if there was a fourth installment, what will it be? hmmm...maybe i should put a poll on this. ;p anways, its almost 4am on a sat morning...breakfast anyone?? haha. yup its the weekend! enjoy yourself and party hard!!

we belong together

thought i had you out of my system but somehow everything came crashing in today. i realised that i do miss u lots. the good times that we had shared and i was certain that we belong together...yup, just like m.c. sang it. but somehow, everything's like a memory, something that was too good to be true. you're like a far distant memory now, or so i thought. hope we'll get things sorted out and that you'll come back soon.

feb

its feb! how time flies...with chinese new year hols over, the next holiday will be april 14 which is still a long way more. looking at the calendar, we've got 4 more long weekends to look forward to... good friday (fri, 14 april), labour day (mon, 1 may), vesak day (fri, 12 may), christmas (mon, 25 dec). an interesting holiday this year will hari raya haji will falls on new year's eve (sun, 31 dec). so does that mean we get another holiday off?? just like cny this year?? well, guess we'll have to wait and see.

went for lunch at julia's place, had a fun time bonding with the rest..ended up having dinner there too. ;p guess we should have more of this. :) anyways, received an sms from her and called her when i got home. the conversation didnt go quite well but she mentioned something that got me thinking...i should not be sweet 24/7, girls just don't dig that. they prefer a disagreement and arguement once in a while. its a kind of mistake that we tell others not to make but end up making the same mistakes. anyways, missed you today. hope u'll have a good week and maybe we'll see each other again soon.
